Number 41 used to be a house and shop. The Shone family used to live there and after they moved to Queensferry, it became a ladies' hair salon. The pebble-dash area was the shop front. The lane at the right is the entrance from Lane End to Lane End Brickworks offices. The other side forms the boundary to the Coronation Gardens.
