In my earlier notes I named this building "The Stable Block" not knowing the purpose for which it was built. It was used for horses in 1920s and 30s. It is now owned by the Royal Buckley Town Band and is their bandroom.
In the meantime, it has been the Fire Station, then later the Buckley Urban District Council Depot. In its Fire Station days it had a tracked door which enabled the Appliance to be reversed in and driven out. The big doors roughly covered the area where now the small windows are. The personnel door was as now shown. There was a mess room above. The Band have now had the room extended (note the different bricks and slates) and the Band's name in specially-made bricks is just discernable above the small windows.
The gabled building with a blue door is the filter plant house for the Baths.
