This wall blocks off the former Ladies' Public Convenience. The window above it is at the head of the right-hand stair at the back of the Library building, but it is not reachable indoors. Its counterpart on the left-hand stair can be seen in 7.153.

Behind the wall and gate on the right edge, there is an electricity sub-station and beyond that the Mens' changing rooms of the Baths.
