At the time this was taken, the site was growing upwards very quickly with rubbish. If you stand on Etna it is possible to see both landfill sites at once - Brookhill and Standard - a dubious delight! It is estimated that the site will be full by about 2005 - 6. In mid 2007, the life of the site was extended to April 2008.
