On the Pinfold site were two brickyards: Buckley Brick and Tile Company (Gibson's) and The Trap Brickworks (Catherall's). This photo shows the Trap Brickworks with the Gibson's pit. The Gibson's pit had very steep sides. On the other side of the brickworks would be the Trap pit.
