26 December 1940
Robin and I got married at Treuddyn with the reception for 100 guests at the Schoolroom where I was teaching. There were war-time rations and coupons but my mother managed. Old pupils of mine waited on with Lena Martin in charge. She was Mrs Ellis' maid. Connie Taylor made my dress, muff and headdress in white velvet. Irene, the chief bridesmaid, made the four bridesmaids' dresses and muffs in red velvet, quite an accomplishment at 20!
The wedding was conducted by Reverend Cadwaladr Williams.
