This portrait of Harold Roberts, our library caretaker, was exhibited by Joe in the annual exhibition of the Buckley and Mold Art Society and came as a complete surprise to Harold. He was persuaded, with reluctance, to have his picture taken next to his painting. When Harold retired, Joe presented him with the portrait as a leaving gift. Again, this was an unexpected and generous gesture from Joe.
