The house and shop had a bakery behind belonging to William Booth in the 1920s and 1930s. He sold his goods from the shop and delivered bread around the district (including to my great-aunts at The Feathers). After WW II the whole premises and business were taken over by Dick Catherall and his wife Edna and traded as "Victoria Cafe". The frontage has been changed and the door was central. I think the cafe has now been converted into a dwelling.

The young lad in the right doorway stands in what is Nikki's Florists/ Balloon shop. (3.2004). I don't know much about this shop until it became Bistre Farm Shop's butchery department. Much more recently the Farm Shop took over the Cafe premises as their grocery and greengrocery shop and put in an internal connecting door.
