The calendar, which is positioned below the picture, is for 1938 and is unused. The card on the top of the picture is one of Hugh Trevor Jones' postcards for the 1930s. The caption for the picture is:

"Bringing in the herd" - M. Drinkwater.

He was the son of John Wilkinson Jones. The business finished in the 1950s and Ronnie Edwards took over Washington House as a corn merchants. Ronnie Edwards moved from Little Mountain Road to Washington House.
