IMPORTANT NOTICE
A PUBLIC MEETING
Will be held in the Albert Hall Buckley
On Friday, the 21st day of April, 1939
At 7.30 p.m., for the purpose of appealing
For volunteers to join the Flintshire 60th
[R.W.F.] Anti-Tank Regiment R.A.
It is confidently anticipated that the response will be
sufficient to form a complete unit for Buckley, to be
known as the 239 Battery [Buckley].
The Chairman of the Buckley Urban District Council
Will preside, and the Meeting will be addressed by:
A. C. GLADSTONE, MAJOR FRED JONES
COL. MALDWYN DAVIES MAJOR ALLETSON
The call is an urgent one, and affords an opportunity to
all the young men to uphold the traditions of Buckley.
A Recruiting Office has been opened in Mill Lane,
Buckley, where full particulars as to conditions of
service and rates of pay can be obtained.
The Meeting will be preceded by the parade [from the
Ex-service Men's Institute in Church Road], of the
Flintshire 60th [R.W.F.] Anti-tank Regiment R.A., with
Members of the Ex-service Men's association and V.A.D.
The Parade will be headed by the Buckley Royal
Town Prize Band.
