OBITUARY

 

On Tuesday, the death took place of Mr William Wilcock, of Park-road, at the advanced age of 78 years. Mr Wilcock had made a sound reputation as a pit shift (sic?)sinker. Amongst those he sank are the No. 1 Elm, The Oak, and The Ash, for the Buckley Colliery Company, Ltd. He also sank others in Buckley, Mold, and Leeswood. He is the father of Mr John Wilcock, vice-president of the Buckley Main-street Co-operative Society, and under-manager of the Mold Colliery Company.
