2001
On April 30th to May 1st 2004, the Clwyd Community Theatre Association performed its 2004 Festivals of One-Act Plays and Youth Theatre. The theatre was packed on the Saturday night when the awards were announced. This was the first time that the festivals had been staged at Hawkesbury. The community centre had to be used a dressing rooms as there is currently (2004) little room backstage at the theatre.
In the 2008 CCTA Youth Section of the festival, the subject given to the youngsters was to devise a 20 minute presentation on their community or town. Blue Stage Performing Arts (BSPA) from Buckley won the award for their entry, which included a black and white silent film, made at the Trap Pool, and which highlighted the industrial background and the Jubilee amongst other topics. In the background were images of Buckley, many taken from this archive.
