Centenary Thanksgiving Service, Saint Matthew's School"

Saint Matthew's School, Church Road, Buckley

5 May 1949

see 88.4 for the programme of the centenary service.

My maiden name was Peters

This was the Saint Matthew's School Centenary and I was chosen to read the lesson in front of the congregation which included the Bishop of St. Asaph who was officiating.

The lesson I read was from St. Matthew Chapter 18. I was very honoured to be chosen but very nervous on the day. My brother Howard Peters was in the choir.
