This is the former site of Washington House. The tall building was built as a timber warehouse by H. Trevor Jones, later Ronald E. Edwards Corn Merchants, which is now (2004) Gems X Catalogue Superstore and its car park. This shop is also called Gem Discounts.
H. Trevor Jones, prior to moving to the above premises, used to have his business on the site of Dozers' Fowd.
