Intake to Flintshire Police Service "

Police Station, Mold

April 1941

I was recruited into the Police Force in April 1941. There were eight training in Mold and they were there when the German airman who crashed by Ewloe Place was brought into the station. It must have seemed to him that the place was teeming with police! He indicated he wanted a drink. P.C.111, Bob Jones said to him, "Don't go away. I'll bring one for you." Where was the poor chap likely to be going!?
