Peter Wilcock was formerly in the premises where Bert Higgins had his business. One of Bert's sisters became Mrs Thomas Hopwood.

Bert worked in the Flintshire County Council Treasurer's Department from about 1933 until his retirement, when he took over the business and home of Mr Peter Wilcock on Peter's retirement at 2, Chester Road.
