The Welsh Church was demolished and in 1999 Holts Holdings were granted planning permission for 20 self-contained flats on the site ( between 65 and 81, Mold Road) to be built in five years. This permission was renewed in Spring 2004, this time with a three year start date. In the intervening time the site had become an unofficial car park and fly-tipping area.
