AN INDUSTRIAL AND POTTERY WALK ROUND BUCKLEY - NUMBER 21
After crossing the disused railway track, turn left down the field hedge and enter Smithy Lane, alongside the smithy (now a derelict building). Turn left, join the Queesferry - Mold Road opposite and a short distance towards Mold is Pottery Farm. This area had recently been disfigured beyond recognition by the Hawarden by-pass road. Here was Ewloe Green Pottery. It was founded by a Mr Jones of Buckley. He formed a partnership with a Mr Gerrard of Prescott in the 1870s and it was worked until the early 1900s.
