R. D. Davies Undertakers is still in business and the firm have now amalgamated with several others in the district.

James Peters premises is now Brunswick Kitchens.

Hughes and Sons were at 33, Chester Road and later on they had a fruit and vegetable shop at the same place. One of the sons was called James Henry Hughes and he had a mechanical shop in Lane End. One of James Henry's brothers drove a lorry for the Castle Brick Company; his daughter worked in the Council Offices Finance Department.
