Dear Madam

 

With reference to previous notificaton, shewing that your son Army No. 1457275 Rank Bdr Name HAYES, John Eric Unit 50B A/TK Regt. R.A. was reported as missing, information has now been received that he has been taken Prisoner of War.

 

You will, no doubt, wish to know the position regarding the allowances payable to you in the future.

 

The sum of 7/- [35p] per week, at present at issue, will continue to be issued whilst the soldier is a Prisoner of War.
