In February 2005, Flintshire County Council commissioned a detailed study of Hawkesbury Hall in order to decide if it can be restored. Many of the architectural interior features which originally gave it its Grade Two Listed status have been severely vandalised but a survey in Summer 2004 found the building was sound. It has been recently estimated that the cost of restoration would be at least £450,000.
