CHASING THE SUNSET

During long summer evenings, it was an adventurous trip to follow out the tide in the wake of the setting sun. Even more exciting was to meet the coming flood tide and skim over the wave crests back to Connah's Quay.

Many shiploads of Buckley bricks went down the River Dee.
