Dr Harry Bradley was much respected by his patients and all who knew him in Buckley. He died, aged 80, in January 2005. He was born in Blackburn, interrupting his studies to serve in India during WWII. He studied medicine at Liverpool University and started his own practice in Buckley in 1959, retiring early in 1988.
He joined the Saint John's Ambulance Brigade and became Deputy Chief Commander for Wales, also holding the position of Commissioner for Clwyd. For this work, he was made a Knight of St. John.
He was a keen gardener and wood turner.
