SPECIAL ORDER

CAPTION ONE

Based on Messrs Butterley Building Materials Trap Works. The small kiln was a special item made to order. When I visited on this particular day, they were assembling it to make sure everything was there. It was an export order.

CAPTION TWO

During the 1960s, stacks of intricately moulded industrial clay-ware began to be laid out in the stockyard. Finally they were carefully selected and with the aid of plans assembled into several intricate and special industrial products for the far east. It was imperative that they arrived at their destination in perfect condition and complete.
