APPROACHING BUCKLEY OLD STATION
The train, on its way to Wrexham, passes under Drury Lane Bridge, with Shone's Brickworks in the background. Nearby were Sandycroft and Lloyds Hills Collieries, both post medieval coal sites.
The coal would be extracted according to the lie of the seam and its thickness, leaving little trace of the seams and few signs of the original workings.
