CONNAH'S QUAY RAILWAY - MAIN LINE ROAD BRIDGE
The main line decended to the docks on the right. A little-used spur on the left made a junction with the Chester - Holyhead line at Connah's Quay Station. The dock branch passes under the main Holyhead line by a low under bridge and enters the dock area by an abrupt curve. The standard Wrexham, Mold and Connah's Quay locomotives could not pass under this bridge but haulage was continued into the docks from the Buckley Railway by small tank engines (0 - 4 - 0 standard no. 9 locomotives).
