Mold Road, Buckley

1965

I lived in 20, Mold Road from the age of eighteen months to when I was ten. My brother Ken Ellis and sister Kathleen Ellis were born in that house. Mrs. Hill lived in the end house, she had one daughter Joan. My father Geoffrey had a business comprising of haulage contracting, he was a bus proprietor and also ran a taxi service. The family home was situated at the rear of the office.

The row also consisted of the family called Cox and the house at the other end of the row to Mrs Hill was Mr and Mrs Williamson. Next to the Williamsons was a hardware shop, the proprietor was Mrs Annie Hill. It later became the business of H & R Roberts and Son.
