The road in Mill Lane was being made more pedestrian-friendly by narrowing the road and building road bumps. It was a far more pleasant place to walk along after than before, when trying to cross the road could be a battle. The pavements were being re-surfaced with new bricks to link in with the Brunswick Road Pedestrianisation scheme.
