HAWKESBURY HALL
Hawkesbury Hall, also known as Place or just Hall, was built by Jonathan Catherall the second in 1801 as his residence. It is now a disused community centre and memorial garden, which is registerd with CADW, the Welsh organisation concerned with the care of national monuments. Fronting the Hall is the Buckley War Memorial and adjacent is the bowling green and sports ground. During the day the site is a haven of peace and beauty where one can just relax - in delectable company!
