Richard (Dick) Catherall's bakery is now Vicky's Flower Shop. After the bakery, there were two shops, a butchers and a grocers. At one time there was a wool shop.

Dick Catherall's bakery was very good, making cakes, wedding cakes, cream puffs and everything like that. He used to do catering. He made our wedding cake and the food for the reception at the Albert Hall. He then went to The Crown in Llay.
