1900
My mother was a governess for the Drew family in Hawarden at the turn of the last century. Apparently, W. E. Gladstone would only eat rice pudding if it was cooked and served in a Buckley pottery bowl. They used to fancy the bowl up a bit when it was placed on his table though!
These bowls were made in a series of standard sizes - ed.
