HOLIDAY WEEK
Holiday resorts such as new Brighton, Scarborough and the east coast, were served by the London North Eastern Railway Co.line at Buckley Junction. Miners' special occasions were occasionally headed by rarely seen locomotives such as the" Director" class 4.4.0. which is breasting the summit at Little Mountain, Buckley.
These excursions were rarities. The normal run was between Wrexham and Birkenhead.
