'Market day' or 'An outing to Rhyl'"

Padeswood and Buckley Railway Station, Padeswood, Buckley

1910

The railway was owned by The London, Midland and Scottish Railway Co.

MARKET DAY or AN OUTING TO RHYL

CAPTION ONE

The rural serenity was often broken every Wednesday and Saturday, when Buckley shoppers made their leisurely expeditions to Mold, or even a day at the seaside in Rhyl.

CAPTION TWO

Buckley was once served by three rail connections. One route passed from Chester to Denbigh, with connections for Rhyl and Corwen. Passing through Padeswood, it served the town at Padeswood and Buckley Station. Remains may still be identified alongside the Bridge Inn, Padeswood.
