Buckley pottery head"

The potters made these little models to while away the time while they were waiting for the kilns to heat the pots. The cap peak is broken off and it's believed to be a model of Edward Davies or one of his family. Edward Davies had made it himself.

 

Edward Davies had an artificial arm. He lived in Parry's Houses, Ewloe Barn. He worked in Ewloe Barn brickworks.
