"DON'T DROP IT, WENCH!"
The several potteries existent in Buckley early this century were open and homely establishments. Visitors entered to inspect and buy. The young girl quivers with excitement as she takes the money box from the steady, reassuring hands of the potter. He admonishes her kindly with, "Don't drop it, wench!". In the window of the potter's shed are many typical novelties of the period. A prospective purchaser quizzically inspects a puzzle jug.
