I knew of the presence of the tunnel and the general drying out of rubbish left the arch of the tunnel visible, and by clearing away debris, I exposed the interior. It consisted of silt mostly and water that had collected. I only went into the entrance enough to climb over the debris and squeeze inside. I knew it was very treacherous because I didn't know how much I would sink into the mud. I replaced all the old rubbish afterwards for safety reasons. I think the date was more 1970s than 1990.
