There were two cottages at the back of the Hall. Mr and Mrs Williams and their three children (Roger, Pamela and Evelyn) lived in one and Mr and Mrs Jones and their daughter (Nancy) in the other. (1940's)

Roger married and lived in Wrexham. He eventually returned to Buckley as a man of the streets. He used to sleep in the kilns at the brickyards. He also used his by then derelict house at the back of Hawkesbury.
