Globe Brickworks, Buckley

1970

In the early C.20th, Annice Bunting moved to Buckley from Stoke-on-Trent with her mother amongst others. She married Eddie Beavan. Annice's mother taught glazing at the Globe Brickworks. All but these two returned to Stoke and the expertise went with them. There is a story of the firing of a kiln that went wrong because the Buckley staff didn't know how to set the kilns correctly and the works soon closed.
