GOOD WISHES
Miss W. Spencer has just retired from teaching. She had been on the staff of Bistre School for over 40 years, and during that time did a grand job of work. Countless numbers of children who passed through her hands will always acknowledge their debt to her. On Wednesday, July 20th, presentations were made to Miss Spencer on behalf of the children and the general public. The Headmaster, Mr. Price, and his predecessor, Mr. G. V. Hughes, with whom Miss Spencer had worked for most of their teaching careers, spoke of Miss Spencer's loyalty, enthusiasm, her ability as a teacher and her constant devotion to the children. We wish Miss Spencer a long and happy retirement, knowing full well that she will make good use of the extra leisure time now at her disposal.
