ELM BRICKWORKS OR NEW CASTLE BRICKWORKS

Built in 1925. Silica was brought by lorry from Bryn Mawr, Abergavenny. Coal was obtained from Elm and Mountain Collieries, which were owned by Castle Brick Company. These collieries closed in the early 1930s.

These works were closed in the 1960s and all three chimneys demolished.
