Knowl Hill"

Knowl Hill, Buckley

1912

I was told some years ago that hardcore from the Knowl Hill was used as the base for the Aston by-pass in Queensferry.

It is said that some of the bricklayers who built the chimney played their musical instruments whilst seated on the wide rim at the top of the chimney the day it was commissioned. It was demolished in 1939.

The cottage was demolished in the 1960s.
