1920
In 1989, the Buckley Cricket Club reached its centenary year. A hundred years earlier a group of brickworks and colliery owners and workers interested in cricket got together and formed the club.
Between 1929 and 1938 the Club won the league championship eight times.
The clubhouse was built in the late 1970s.
In the centenary year, the special events included a Centenary Knockout featuring four major Liverpool Competition clubs and four from North Wales, all games being played at Buckley.
