Saint Matthew's Parish Church floodlit"

Saint Matthew's Parish Church, Church Road, Buckley

October 1938

The church was floodlit during Brigade Week, October 16 - 23 1938.

Mr Trevor Dolby made the lamps. He was a member of the Church Lads Brigade (C.L.B.). The floodlights were dismantled at the end of the week. Similar (permanent) lights were installed three to four years ago (ie.circa 1998), but for some reason were not used.
