I remember asking Jim which way the tramway ran from where we were standing. He pointed in the direction of Burntwood and the River Dee. Jim was trimming back all the overgrown bushes to reveal the cut which led to the entrance of the tunnel which went to the brickyard at Lane End (Hancock's).
